Robbie Horne | Co-Founder

“I served 13 years in the Marines as an MP. I was in the invasion of Iraq in ’03 and went back in ’04 for a second tour. I served as a Military Police Instructor and was a Platoon Sergeant after that. I’ve deployed all over the world and my youngest was born in Japan.

I have volunteered for multiple veteran aimed charities over the past few years and found a need to serve those who served.  I have been very fortunate to serve with some good groups that do really good things for veterans. I have had the pleasure of Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa to Fly Fishing in the valley the Rio Grande in New Mexico. I have made some really good friends during this travel across the world.

I have the three most amazing kids I could ever ask for and they keep me going.  The fire inside me burns from the suicide of my brother in 2012. He was a Marine Veteran too; statistics say that 22 Veterans commit suicide each day. My goal is to bring that number down to 0. This organization is my way of giving back to the veteran and first responder community. There is a huge gap in the therapy options that veterans and first responders have to choose from.”

Robbie’s personal awards include: Purple Heart, Navy Commendation Medal with a Combat “V” devise. (2) Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Combat Acton Ribbon, Iraqi Campaign Medal X4, Korean Defense Medal, Sea Service Deployment X 4.

I joined the Marine Corps October 2001 served as a division MP conducting mounted & dismounted patrols, Generals JUMP team and as combat motorcycle operator running route reconnaissance, QRF missions and just about anything else the Marine Corps could think up.

After second tour to Iraq got out as a Sgt. Moved back to Texas and got into exterior construction. Started Complete Exterior Solutions with my wife of 18yrs, had 3 kids and currently continue to grow the business. As a company we’ve been sponsoring nonprofits, special Events, outings, and home modification projects for our war fighters & first responders. Establishing an organization has been something we’ve wanted to do and when the opportunity came to partner with Robbie with the vision of TRG we jumped at it.

Robbie and I served together for a few years and are able to joke about some of the best & worst of times. We’re excited to see how TRG can be used in the service to our veterans and first responders.

Founders Robbie Horne and P.J. Kratohvil served together in OIF 1 & OIF 2.
